New Pages Report
The New Pages Report in SEOTesting allows you to track and monitor your website's newly crawled, indexed, and ranked pages. It is designed to help you identify which pages have been indexed recently and analyze their performance, including impressions, clicks, and average position.
The New Pages Report displays a list of pages crawled, indexed, and ranked by search engines within a specified period. It provides data on how these new pages are performing in search results. This report can help you understand how quickly search engines pick up new content and how well it performs once indexed.
The report includes information on the following metrics:
Page URL
First Seen Date
Clicks
Impressions
CTR
Average Position
To use the New Pages Report, start by selecting a date range using the date picker at the top of the report. This allows you to specify the period for which you want to see newly indexed pages:
Once the date range is set, the report will display all of the pages that have been indexed within that time frame:
Review the performance metrics for each page to understand how well your newly indexed content is performing.
Note: The performance data is directly taken from Google Search Console and covers the period from the selected start date up to the most recent date available. So, for example, if you look at the report at the end of October, looking at all of your new pages for September, the report will show performance data from the first of September up to the latest available GSC date.
If you click on a URL listed within the report, you will be taken to the Page Details View for that URL, which will allow you to track its progress directly:
Scroll further down on the Page Details View, and you will be able to see the list of queries that the page has started to rank for:
Go to the ‘Reports’ tab:
Click on the ‘New Pages’ report from the ‘Content Reports’ section:
You should check the report regularly, especially after publishing new content, to ensure your pages are indexed and performing as expected.
Yes, you can export the data by clicking the export button at the top of the report:
You can also create a ‘Magic Link’ for the report, allowing users who do not have SEOTesting accounts to view the report for a selected period. Create a magic link by clicking the ‘Share’ button at the top of the report:
The report will appear only on pages indexed by Google during the selected time frame. If a page isn’t listed, it may not have been indexed yet. If Google has indexed your content but is still not appearing within the report, this may be because the URL has not yet had an organic impression. The report will only show pages that have appeared within Google’s search results.
