The Split by URL option lets you view query data broken down by your site’s URLs. When enabled, this feature shows which URLs on your site rank and receive clicks for each query.
It helps identify whether multiple pages compete for the same query or whether your content is successfully targeted to the correct pages.
To enable this, simply check the box next to “Split by URL,” and the table will update accordingly:
The Compare Periods button allows you to compare query performance across two periods. By selecting this option, you can track trends, assess the impact of recent SEO changes, or spot any shifts in user behavior.
This feature is helpful when you need to measure the effectiveness of optimizations or assess seasonal performance.
After clicking the button, choose your comparison periods. The report will show metrics like clicks, impressions, and ranking changes side-by-side.
The Get KE Data button directly brings data for Keywords Everywhere to the report.
Clicking this option pulls in additional keyword metrics such as:

This feature helps you prioritize which queries to optimize by providing key insights into their search demand and competition levels.
Icons are shown next to each query to provide quick access to key insights and actions:
SEO Test: Clicking this button will create a new SEO test based on that query.
Saved Ideas: Clicking this will save your query to your ‘Saved Ideas’ list.
Google Search: Clicking on this will run a Google search of that query for you. (Right-click to search in incognito mode)
Reddit: This will take you through a Reddit search of this query.
Quora: Clicking this will run a search of this query via Quora.
Custom action: Clicking on this icon will send you to the link configured as a custom action. By default, this link will take you to the Ahrefs keyword research tool, passing the query in as a parameter, but this action can be customized in Website Settings.
These query-specific icons were implemented to save you and your team time.
Next to the query itself, you will see the ChatGPT logo. Clicking on this will take you to a new screen where two things have been automatically generated for you from ChatGPT.
On the left side of the screen, you will see content ideas generated based on the query. On the right side of the screen, you will see subtopic content ideas that have been generated, again using the query as part of the prompt.
You also have options to refresh the screen (pulling through different ideas) and to customize your prompt to make it better suited to your needs:
You will be taken to the Query Details view when you click on a query within the All Queries Report. This view provides an in-depth look at how the selected query has performed over time. You can track key metrics such as clicks, impressions, average position, and click-through rate (CTR) for that specific query:
The All Queries Report within SEOTesting displays the top 1,000 data rows based on the filters used, but by exporting, we give you all the available query data. In some cases, this can then be tens of thousands of rows of query data.
